Bass boats are built for speed, storage, and—most of all—fishability. Wide aft beams and reinforced transoms allow for larger horsepower outboards, translating to quicker planing time and more speed. Storage is tailored for the large amount of rods, reels and lures that serious bass anglers need. And large bow and aft decks mean plenty of room to move, cast, fight and land fish. 

Bass boats are flatter in profile compared to many other fishing boats. This allows for larger decks for the room an angler needs to fish effectively. The mod-v hull on a bass boat creates a lower profile in the water for less wind resistance, making the boat faster and reducing drift when trolling or at rest. And it keeps the angler closer to the water for better visibility when sight-fishing.

Compared to fiberglass bass boats, aluminum bass boats are lighter, more durable, easier to tow and maintain and less expensive. Lighter aluminum boats move faster with lower horsepower. Aluminum is flexible, making it more forgiving to impacts. And at much lower prices, aluminum boats are easier to afford and cheaper to repair if damaged.
