Where do you spend most of your time fishing?
Western Minnesota Lakes County.
When did you first start fishing?
My first memory was when I was 3 or 4. I had a temper tantrum because my dad made me stop fishing on shore so my older brothers could swim. The addiction had already begun.
What is your favorite species to fish?
Walleyes.
How do you approach fishing a new lake?
Depends on the time of year. Look at structure and where there are two or three classic structure areas close together. Especially looking for saddles.
What's your hidden talent?
Cooking.
What is it about Lund, whether it’s the team, the boats, or the legacy, that keeps you coming back year after year?
Honestly, that’s easy. Built by fisherman, for fisherman. You can see the passion for fishing through the company and the products.
Aside from fishing, how are you involved with the angling community
A weekly regional outdoors radio show, 20-year involvement in FM Walleyes Unlimited, high school angling, brand promotions, seminars and sport shows.
How do you stay motivated and focused, even during tough seasons?
Be grateful to have each day outdoors. Even on the hard days, there are blessings. Focus on the blessings from each day.
If you could fish with any angler, past or present, who would it be?
My father.
If the bite is tough, what’s your go-to strategy to turn things around?
Slip bobber/live bait.
