Lund continues to focus on the fishing family by redesigning the Impact line and announcing two new models to the Impact XS series.
New York Mills, Minn. (December 13, 2017)
The Lund Impact series has built a reputation as a leading fishing and recreational boat due to its diverse offering of innovative models ranging from 16 to 20 feet. The new 2018 lineup not only includes a redesign of the fishing focused Impact models, but also expands with two new family friendly models in the Impact XS line with the 1675 and 1775, while refreshing the 1875 model by making it 4 inches longer with a 2-inch wider beam than the previous 1850 Impact XS. The 1675 seats five people while the 1775 and 1875 seats six people comfortably in the cockpit.
Built with Lund’s famous IPS hull design, the Impact lineup features a pronounced center keel, flat rear center pad, strakes, double-riveted seam construction, and two reverse chines for blazing-fast hole shots, impressive tracking, stability, and bulletproof durability backed by Lund’s industry leading lifetime warranty. In addition, the Impact XS, Impact Sport (full windshield), and Impact SS (side console) models are updated with a wider and more robust gunnel with a rub rail and integrated lighting track.
A large bow deck gives anglers more fishing space while also offering ample storage for fishing gear, while optional bow cushions provide added comfort for your passengers. The 11-gallon, 27-inch bow livewell will keep your catch healthy while the optional bow baitwell ensures your bait of choice remains alive throughout a long day on the water.
On the aft deck, anglers will enjoy the standard top hider for concealing a bimini top, a ski pylon option, and a large 16-gallon, 37-inch livewell. Optional aft jump seats offer seating for two additional boaters while an optional aft splash pan filler option allows for more walking space on the back deck; great for anglers and families alike.
Multiple storage options such as the optional under-console drawers, starboard storage, and optional port and starboard rod storage as offered in the standard Impact models gives both your family and fishing buddies plenty of room to store their belongings. Additionally, Lund’s fishing DNA continues to flow with an enhanced center rod locker to accommodate longer rods and a new handle storage system that keep rods secure while traveling in rougher waters. The center rod locker houses ten rod tubes that will protect fragile line guides and rod tips from damage. The 1675 can hold rods up to 7 feet in length and the 1775 and 1875 models can hold rods up to 8 feet in length.
Sleek, black consoles are new with an optional VesselView dash, which gives these boats a sporty look without sacrificing an ounce of functionality. The VesselView unit actual replaces the gauges on the dash and can also be a GPS fish locator or act as a second graph on the console. Recessed controls with storage, optional under-console drawers, and standard port drawer in the SS model allow for undisputable versatility.
The Lund Impact line has a well-proven track record of performance and versatility for fishermen and recreational boaters. With all the new innovative enhancements, this already popular series will fit even more family budgets and fishing or boating needs.
