ANGLER & YOUNG ANGLER TOURNAMENTS FEATURED IN WALLEYE IN-SIDER MAGAZINE

"The Angler and Young Angler Fishing Tournaments have grown beyond what we ever dreamed," says Andrew Klopak, president of Lund Boats.  "Over 10 years, it's expanded from a single regional tournament on Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, to 10 regional events held throughout North America each year, as well as an International Championship on Lake of the Woods.  It's amazing how much the fishing industry and angling community are embracing the program."

Seeking opportunities to fish in competitive walleye events with his son, Klopak discovered that youth-oriented venues were slim to none.  So, in 1998, he founded the Angler and Young Angler (AYA) Fishing Tournaments.  "The events are all about the kids," he says.  "They're tailor-made to get youth excited about competitive fishing, in a fun setting surrounded by family and friends."
