Here are a few of the stories we featured awhile back, in case you missed them... | I just finished up a week of vacation fishing with my dad around their home in the Ottertail County of Minnesota. We spent the week chasing walleyes on both big and small lakes, and my 1800 Explorer SS was right at home on all of them. Dad couldn't stop talking about how comfortable and convenient my Explorer was to fish out of. He even had to invite one of his buddies out fishing with us to show it off a little. Both of them offered to "store" my boat rather than "forcing" me to pull it home to Illinois. My week of vacation ended when I left Minnesota on Sunday morning. A few days later I received a phone call. My dad just came back from the area Lund dealer. He's the proud new owner of a Lund Pro Angler 17. Your boats sell themselves! Thanks for building such a great boat! See you on the water! Matt S., Rockford, IL. |
In February of 2004, my son and husband conned me into attending a boat show in Seattle. We walked out of there while purchasing a fully loaded Fisherman 1800. Since then we have taken it to many lakes, gone crabbing in Puget Sound, and hauled it to Canada and other Northwest locations. Our vacations are now centered around where we can take the boat! This picture is the Lund being towed behind a houseboat on Lake Shuswap in British Columbia. We Love Our Lund!! Judith H., Redmond, WA.

Ever since I was a kid going up to the resort near New York Mills, I wanted a Lund! The resort had a fleet of Lunds. When I got older and did some research, my childhood preference was confirmed because I decided I was not buying anything BUT a Lund! My first one was a WC 16. My next and current one is a Pro Angler 1700. 25 years later I am considering buying a new boat. A new Lund! No other boat even comes to mind! I am sure Lund would not approve of the way I have treated the boats! My Lunds have encountered breaking ice, fishing enormous Lake Millacs on windy days, and other challenging conditions. I’ve decided that after a week in Ottertail County, I may just keep my 15 yr old Lund! I still get compliments on the boat, and it still gets me to the fish! Gregg B., St. Paul, MN. I just bought a 2002 Lund, Mr. Perfect 16. It has a 75-horse Mercury motor. I had a trolling motor, charger and depth-finders added when I purchased it. The purchase decision was based upon pure speculation that the Lund the best boat on the market. I had always heard that it was, and a test drive confirmed it was a great boat.I have owned a Rangber Commance and two Bass Cat Panteras previously, and so-far the Lund is a notch above all of them! Riley, S., Frankston, TX.
In 2000 I purchased a brand new Lund Fisherman with intentions of fishing lakes in the Midwest for Walleye and Pike. Two years later I was transferred to Northwest Washington State. Here the most popular fishing takes place on the ocean waters. I rigged up my 17-foot Lund with a VHF marine radio, a second motor and downriggers. With my “supercharged” Lund I braved the wide-open Pacific Ocean to fish for salmon and halibut. For three years now my Lund has held up the abuse of upwards of 10-foot swells and the corrosive saltwater environment. I have seen several 60-foot gray whales and 24-foot killer whales just feet from my boat. On nice summer days I enjoy making the 60-mile trip from Edmonds to the beautiful San Juan Islands in just two hours – out-performing most ships on the sea. There is no way I could have ever anticipated this kind of adventure when I first bought my Lund.

My wife and I went to Century Lodge, near Dryden Ontario in 2002. While we were on the way I noticed a lot of people pulling their own boats. When we got there, they gave us a 16-foot Lund WC with a 25-HP Mercury to use. It was the first time I had operated a boat with an outboard, but it was so much fun! The Lund gave us such a feeling of safety. Based on the experience I decided the next time we came to Canada we would be pulling our own boat. We bought a 16-foot Lund Rebel with a 25-HP Mercury that next January, and have brought it to Century Lodge twice, and to Red Cedar lake once. This year we go to Ely, MN for vacation. The Lund has taken us on a lot of local trips for Bass, Bluegills, Crappie and Pike. It's just the right size for us, handy to pull on the road and launch, I don't think we will ever get rid of it! Here is a picture at the launch on Eagle Lake in Dryden. John V., Bangor, MI. |
The way my Lund 1800 Pro-V is set-up with the pro kicker option I am able to fish all of the fish species with all of the fishing styles available to me in Southern California. Whether I'm trolling big Rapalas for Brown Trout in the Sierras, Bass fishing on many of the famous big-bass waters in my area, or spending the day in the bays and harbors along the Pacific Coast for light tackle saltwater game-fish, my Lund excels every time!

I love my Lund boat and fishing so much. I was always sad when winter came because I had to store my boat away for the winter. Each time I was ice fishing, I wished there was a way for me to have my Lund boat with me. It was my best fishing buddy, which motivated my Son to comment "Dad, it would be neat if they had a Lund ice fishing boat." It was later that autumn that my son Matt and I converted my sled into a Lund Ice Fishing Boat. I love my Lund! Gary Y., Winnipeg, MB.

In 2002 I was in the market for a new boat that could handle my diverse needs; from pan fishing inland lakes, Bass and Walleye fishing rivers, Salmon fishing the great lakes, to pulling tubers on summer vacations. As I spoke to many boat dealers and manufactures, I made my decision on a Lund Pro-V, despite other manufactures telling me a riveted boat will leak and the ride is uncomfortable. Well, I’m here to tell you after four years this boat has performed flawlessly with quality comparable to no other. As I compare my Lund with many other manufacturers, the quality and the extra touches Lund puts in their boat are clearly visible. It’s great to hear compliments coming from other fisherman and friends who own a different type of boat I was previously considering. As a long time Lund owner said to me, "You can't go wrong in buying a Lund.” He was right, our family is proud to be a part of the Lund Family!

After helping my Dad search all-over the Internet at many boat dealers’ web sites for the right kind of boat we found the Lund 2005 1450 Rebel SS model most appealing. It appeared to be small with very deep sides and plenty of room for storage. No other boat on the market seemed to compare. To our excitement we found the listing of a leftover 2005 Rebel SS Model sitting at a showroom at Robbins Marine of Milton, PA in February of 2006. We drove the 100 miles to check out this boat in person, and when we saw it that day my father was so impressed with the layout of the boat he told the dealer that he would take it that day! He pulled out a checkbook to buy it “on-the-spot” and bought his 1450 Rebel with check 1450 from his account. I guess this was a purchase that was meant to be! Ron D., Clarks Summit, PA. |
My second graders call me “Mr. Schommer” and I have loved to fish all for all of my life. My father has taken me to Canada every year since I was twelve years old. On the excursions we always went out of our way to rent a Lund boat. This past summer I was able to purchase my own Lund 1650 Rebel SS. My profession gave me the flexibility to use my Lund quite frequently in the summer of 2005. I was able to take my Lund to Ontario twice this past summer. I landed my first trophy Walleye and took my best friends from college fishing. My boat purchase also gave me the ability to take my Dad fishing to Canada on the pike trip of a life time. He landed four fish over twenty pounds in five consecutive casts. Here is a picture of the largest fish. Great trip and great boat! I am excited for next summer when I will be able to take my new son Tayte out on the water in my Lund.

| My wife and I are semi-retired and we fish small lakes as well as Salmon on Lake Michigan and pan fish on Kentucky Lake. I am still working for my toys. I wanted a true multi-species boat and remembered fishing in Canada as a teenager. The guides always ran Lunds on the big lakes. My 2003 Pro-V 1800 SE fits the bill. We fish for Panfish and sometimes Salmon and our Lund is as “at home” on Lake Michigan as it is on smaller lakes. I have never felt more secure in four-footers in any other boat. I have room and storage for everything we could ever want on a boat and all the latest electronics. The safety features and quality built into our Lund cannot be matched by any other boat on the market. Thanks for building a great boat!

| We got our Lund in 2001. It is the best boat. I love it so much. I could not ask for a better boat to do the kind of fishing that I enjoy!! David W., Tappan Lake, OH. |
I love the smoothest, driest ride in the industry!!! Not to mention prestige of pulling up to the boat ramp and having everyone drool over my Lund deep V. Kurt A., Howe, IN |
