Return to "Love My Lund" Stories

Here are a few of the stories we featured awhile back, in case you missed them...

Since I was twelve years old I wanted my own Lund boat.  I recently turned 28 years old and my wife is expecting.  I knew I needed to make a move or I may never have had the opportunity to buy my dream boat.   I purchased a Lund Rebel 1650 with a Yamaha four-stroke.  It handled the college buddies for a week in Canada this past June.  I love my Lund!

Andrew S., Chetek, WI.

I am the proud owner of a Lund Alaskan 16 foot "fishing and hunting machine.”  I purchased my Lund in 2004, and did so after researching several brands.  Lund was by far the most value for the dollar spent.  The value is realized by the owner in terms of workmanship, durability, and performance.

I am a natural resources management professional, and I have the opportunity to meet with boaters frequently.  I see hundreds of boats each year and have always been impressed with Lund quality.  As a result, many of my colleagues and I own Lund boats.  We are all hunters and anglers, and we put these boats to the test of constant use in a variety of conditions.  The Lunds always come through!

This boat was an investment in enjoyment and has never let me down.  I was out duck hunting on January 11th, 2006 and used the Lund out on Long Island Sound.  We had a great hunt, and the boat added to the comfort and safety of out trip.  Keep up the great work with Lund products.

Mike E., Ashford, CT.

My son and I both have Lund Outfitters; his is a Tiller with a 50 hp Mercury 4S and mine is a SS with a 60 hp Mercury 4S. We bought them in Canada after fishing several years in Canadian fishing camps using various Lund models.  They are perfect. With a 76" beam they fit in a 7' boat lift and with a 7'5" length they take the roughest water you can imagine. They are easy to trailer, easy to maintain, with the vinyl flooring.  It is truly is a fisherman's boat!

I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the resale value of Lund boats. I bought a new 1660 Pro V in 1994 and loved the boat. I fished it hard for 19 years. Upon upgrading to a new 1800 Explorer SS, I sold the 1660 for 70 percent of the original cost. That type of value is superior to any boat that I have ever heard of.

Those that say the cost of a Lund is too much have no idea of a Lund's true value. With all of that said, I truly love my new 1800 Explorer SS. I look forward to many years of super service from Lund, and my Explorer. Attached is a picture of the new Explorer.

Joseph S., Circle Pines, MN.

After I got my new 1978 S14 Lund into rough water in Nemeiben Lake in Northern Saskatchewan, I knew I had a boat that could be trusted. This boat felt as comfortable in rough water as it felt sitting at the dock.

Size was the only thing that this boat lacked because I knew that more people should be able to experience the thrill that Lund was capable of delivering, so I located a 1980 Lund Mr. Pike American 18' with a 70 H.P. Yamaha outboard.

Our five children have all had the experience of spending considerable time in this unit as we navigate the Churchill River and other prime lakes in Northern Saskatchewan.  They have had the opportunity of experiencing fishing, matched only by the beauty of the North, with the assurance that our Lund boat will get us home. This is one boat that I trust to keep my family safe!

Frank R., Regina SK.
