Grand Rapids, MN, September 23rd, 2004 – This victory, his first in the Professional Walleye Trail, was history-making not only because of the wire-to-wire fashion he did it in, but because he is now the first angler in pro walleye fishing to win both the Wal-Mart RCL Championship,(in 2000), and the PWT Championship. Scott, who finished 4th in the Angler of the Year race, also received the Top Gun Award which represents the highest average finish over the course of the season, and he was also the only angler to cash checks in every event this year.

 “I used pretty light equipment to catch these fish, “Glorvigen said.  “I was using 4 and 6-pound Spider Wire monofilament, I was using a No. 4 or 6 red hook tied to a 7-foot leader, a no. 12 barrel swivel and a 1/16-ounce barrel-weight.  I would also put a Northland rattle bead on the line to add sound.  I think that was very important in the stained water.”

“My brother Marty (who placed 13th in the PWT) has a lot to do with winning this “said Glorvigen.  “If it wasn’t for him, I would not be here.  Marty told me to focus on tournament fishing this season.  This has been my best year I have ever had for fishing, beyond a shadow of a doubt, and I owe a lot to my brother.”
