NATIONAL FRESHWATER FISHING HALL OF FAME

Marking the first time three members of the same family
have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

November 2007 Brainerd, MN
- Ron Lindner was enshrined in the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame on October 29, 2007 for his lasting national impact to the benefit of freshwater fishing.  As an active member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America, Ron has been the guiding hand and mentor for many outdoor journalists and has played a major role in shaping the landscape of the outdoor sports industry.

From Ron and Al Lindner’s first endeavor, the Lindner Tackle Company in Chicago, Illinois, to Lindy Tackle Company and the In-Fisherman Communications Network, Ron has been at the forefront of lure design and tackle manufacturing, as well as angling education. He currently oversees Lindner Media Productions and Lindner’s Angling Edge Television, and is the Director of Operations for Bill Lindner Photography. Through all the years, he has unselfishly shared his knowledge and love of fishing, tirelessly promoting freshwater sportfishing to the public via television, seminars, magazines and radio programs.

Ron has received numerous awards acknowledging his contributions to the fishing industry.  Recently, Ron was inducted into Normark’s Hall of Fame in recognition of the indelible mark that his involvement has made on the history the company.  This lifetime achievement award also honors his contribution to Normark from a global perspective.  Previously, Al and Ron were inducted into the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame as a Legendary Anglers and are charter inductees in the Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame.

Earlier this year, Ron’s son, James Lindner, was inducted into the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame as a Legendary Communicator, for his significant and lasting contributions to freshwater angling.  This award is among the highest honors that can be bestowed on a communicator in the sport fishing community.

"The Lindners induction into the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame is very special,” stated Emmett A. Brown, Executive Director of the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. “Not only for James’ accomplishments, but it marks the first time that 3 family members will have their induction portraits hanging in our Hall of Honor, which already includes Ron and Al Lindner.  Never before, however, have a father, a son and an uncle been so honored.Certainly, the Lindner name is synonymous with excellence in the sportfishing community."

Lindner Media Productions specializes in producing educational and entertaining fishing programs, DVDs, videos, national TV commercials, product sales and point of purchase videos, as well as providing underwater photography to the sport fishing industry.

Lindner Media Productions also films, edits and produces a number of outdoor television series including Lindner’s Angling Edge, Lindner’s Fishing Edge, Lindner’s Ultimate Angler, Glorvigen’s Pro’s Pointers,  and both the FLW Bass Series and FLW Walleye Series.  James serves as co-host of the nationally renowned televison shows Lindner’s Angling Edge and Lindner’s Fishing Edge.
